Casa Ridgway, is a small guest house in San José, Costa Rica, operated by the Friends' Peace Center, and named after a committed North American quaker peace activist, Betty Ridgway. Located on a quiet street near the center of town, Casa Ridgway is convenient to many popular attractions and activities. The guest house offers private and dormitory bedrooms with shared bathrooms, at modest prices. A communal kitchen and patio-dining area are available to all guests.
The Friends Peace Center is located next door and its programs and library are open to all interested guests. The Center, was founded in 1983 to promote understanding of international peace, social justice, and ecological issues, and can organize a variety of educational seminars and workshops. Visitors interested in these educational opportunities should contact the Peace Center before their visit to Costa Rica.
In addition to supporting the operation of the Friends' Peace Center, Casa Ridgway is a manifestation of the Center's hope of promoting understanding among peoples. You are welcome to stay with us.
